Welcome to Blues Detour – A new Direction!

We here at Blues Detour are blues lovers that are here to help promote the Blues.  Bluesdetour.com was created to be a multi faceted blues community for all blues lovers. We offer a new direction for the artists, fans, and venues alike. 

For the Blues artists you now have a place to help sell and promote your music. Because we are genre specific, customers do not have to wade through unrelated pages to get to what they want. All our pages will be blues related from the main page on. All our “Featured CD’s and “Featured Artists” will be blues artists. All our customers will be looking for blues music. We will be advertised on blues related sites and at blues related events. In addition to being on the site, artists will and can be promoted through the featured CD and artist spotlights, through live events, and possibly through planned Blues Detour compilation CD’s.

For the blues fans, you can purchase those hard to find independent blues CD’s that you may only find at a live show. Hear clips from new artists and discover a new favorite. There are plenty of excellent used CD’s available as well. There is a blues forum to post news and discuss your favorite artists and CD’s, as well as coming shows in your area.

Blues venues will also be able to get into the act. Venues will be able to post their shows, calendars, and directions in the forum, and eventually get their own Blues Detour page for that purpose. Venues can also post links to their blues club website for easy access by our members. Blues festivals can also use our forum to start discussion on their coming event.

Blues Detour hopes to always be evolving, so we would love your feedback on our site and how we can help to make your detour more enjoyable.
